ZiglioNZ: There's plenty of legal downloads that chew a lot of bandwidth
if we had peering in NZ, and some international mirrors here things would be so much better, sigh
Fraktul: We do have peering - just not everyone chooses to peer with everyone else :) For example we peer with pretty much everyone at APE and WIX, only major player we dont peer with is Xtra.
freitasm:superleaded: What a f**ing lame, and f**ing obvious attempt to stop their users seeding. I'm pretty sure this has gotta be illegal.
May I ask you if your BitTorrent usage is just for legal content?
While I think they would be doing this to prevent their network to melt down (lack of capacity, cost, etc would be another discussion) and not to prevent users downloading copyrighted material, I find the comment ironic...
Fraktul: My employer.
superleaded:...
care to share your hacked utorrent to save us the trouble?
Sure, just send me a PM with your email address and i'll send it your way.

I was just interested to know which ISPs have a sensible peering arrangement (such as your employer does) vs. those that force peering traffic to go overseas and back (such as Xtra).
If you don't want to/aren't able to tell me which ISP you work for that's fine

My comments and opinions dont necessarily match those of my employer. As I like the freedom to post my personal opinion I will probably be forced to create a seperate login as a representative of my employeer.
