I assume you define $500ish as unaffordable? If so you're not going to find anything any cheaper.
What benefit is 1Gbps going to offer you over 200Mbps? There are very, very, very few people who benefit from such a speed.
Not so much unaffordable, just unjustifiable for what I wanted it for, especially seeing it for as little as $119 outside of gigatown and I don't need the high SLA costs associated with those plans.
The SLA on these plans is no different to that of regular UFB. It's the CIR that's different, as this is a true 1000/1000 service compared to the (off the top of my head) 2.5/2.5 high priority CIR on the Gigatown connection and 1000/500 being an EIR only.
these days all chorus business UFB plans come with a 6 hour restore - also unfortunately it is only a 2.5M/2.5M CIR at the price point mentioned in this thread
