Thanks everyone for your responses!

I am a bit confused now - I just told Inspire I am moving my domain to domains4less and I got this reply (from Inspire):

"the details I gave you were under the assumption you were transferring the .com to Inspire Net as its new registrar. if you want us to be able to manage your mail records, including setting up a catch-all, ideally you'd transfer the .com domain to *us* rather than to a third party, which makes things difficult. That is part of what is included in the $45/year price of .com registration with us."

Does this mean I should move my domain to Inspire, or are they just hustling for a bit of extra cash?

A catchall thing for my domain name so anything that comes to it goes to me. Also just regular internet services.

It makes no difference to shifting ISP, you can leave the domain name, web and email services at the original provider after you move your internet service. The only catch is that you have to figure out whether any fault is with all internet (call the ISP) or only with your domain or email (call your domain hosting provider). Your current provider will be happy to keep hosting the domain after you move the internet service since you are paying extra for it, and should be happy to give you a deal on the fibre as well.

Time to find a new industry!
