Hope that sync rate holds, if it goes down don't do lots of reboots as it will make things worse

See how that's dropped the attenuation down to 14dB from 30dB? Probably a dirty or loose connector there. Good work.

Thanks for all the replies folks.

 

 

 

If you guys hadnt suggested the internal wiring id have never thought to try a new cable and would still be grumbling about the connection. Fingers crossed it stays like that!

I've followed up with Sam on this,

 

 

 

ddDLM has pulled the connection way back, seeing what i can do here but i can't make prommises.

 

 

 

the line is actually looking very clean now, i fully expect ddDLM to settle and raise to 50-60 down.

after a few weeks the speed has kept going up and up and now at the below

 

really happy with it.

If it was me I would also change the socket on the wall as well as the cable if you have not already done so.

 

If not then sooner or later the problem may return.

I should have said the Interface cable between the socket and modem as well as the socket itself.
