Pay the fees and get a month of Bigpipe broadband, then cancel afterwards. Done.

Sweet thank you ,  Problem solved. House connected to fibre for just 130$ total through a month with bigpipe.  All other ISP had contracts.

So effectively you've paid $130 to have fibre installed.

All good, unless the Installer removes your copper at the same time...

Just tel the scope person the land line is to remain intact. And then tell the installer it's naked innernet no copper cut over req

Or if you are doing it before I lay a drive. Get a proactive tube laid.

The cooper (2degrees Naked VDSL) is a overhead line to a pole then down to a cabinet, all up 30m measured. The Fibre is sticking up at the end of the driveway. It would be a standard install connecting to the house.

I don't mind paying for VDSL and Fibre for a month or two. Still got a my old 7390 fritzbox. So can run both. At least there wont be any internet down time.

phantomdb: soooooooooo why am i only getting 100/20

When UFB first launched with Bitstream 2 the speeds were 100/50 Layer 2, so customers were getting speedtests of 97/46 or so because of Layer 2 vs Layer 3. Then right performing Bitstream 2a services came out and the RSPs phased out the Bitstream 2 services as 2a were priced cheaper at a wholesale rate. The BS2a rates are 33/11, 110/22 Layer 2 so people now get the 100/20 speeds. It was a decision to reduce the upstream as most customers don't even use it.

If you need higher upstream get a 100/100 or 200/200 or 1000/500 and you're away.
