you are 2.9km from the exchange and 0.4km from the cabinet, currently the cabinet is most likely just a joint in your line. So your real line length is 2.9km. Once your cabinet is upgraded to include a DSLAM your line length will be 0.4km.

Cyril and Lonney: my figures are based on "lab tests" with disturbers. They should reflect pretty closely what you can achieve in a real life scenario. Figures like the Internode graph tend to be very optimistic.

I would be quiet keen to say some other examples of distance vs connect speed to correlate against all the "estimates"! (My own is 540m from exchange, 17Mbps connect speed.)

Yes sure did, I asked them to tell me how far from the exchange my house was and they sent through that.
