Also 3 weeks for an apartment install?  It would have been installed to the basement/elsewhere already, and the building owner/body corp would have provided consent that covered the whole building.

 

 

In some areas Chorus is really short on contractors, that's why it takes so long. Nothing to do with consents.

For anybody following this install; Chorus tech came by today. They tried to get the fibre run via the existing duct but there seemed to be some sort of blockage that stopped them getting past about 1/2 way through the duct. So they are planning to organize doing a micro-duct install along the concrete path leading to my house from the street sometime next week.

And to finish this story off; micro duct and ont install is now complete and I have working fibre :)
