Thank you. weekend job planned :)
One last question. Ive hunted, but does anyone have photos of how they have done the ONT on a modern new house> Ive seen lots of retro fits to old house where multiple access pipes have been run, but never a new house, might have to walk around the suburbs this weekend. Ive just noticed that the tech who arrived at our house decided to cut one of the pipes sticking up out of the ground. I had made sure both pipes were the same length and nicely finished flush to the bottom of the ont. the tech has decided to cut one. nice. now I have two different length pipes.
So to the experts, Whats the the best approach to make it tidy. Cut down both pipes to about 50MM off the concrete, put an adaptor on and run flexible conduit up to the ONT or cut down to 50MM, but another length of rigid conduit, slide the fat end over the pipes sticking up and cut to the correct length? just want this to look tidy on a new home and the last two techs I have from spark ( chorus ) did some crap jobs. when I had the house built they laid green conduit, tried to bend it using heat, overcooked it, bent it over 90 degree and crushed the telecom cable. a really half assed job and I don't trust them anymore.
