Thank you.  weekend job planned :)

One last question. Ive hunted, but does anyone have photos of how they have done the ONT on a modern new house>  Ive seen lots of retro fits to old house where multiple access pipes have been run, but never a new house, might have to walk around the suburbs this weekend.  Ive just noticed that the tech who arrived at our house decided to cut one of the pipes sticking up out of the ground.  I had made sure both pipes were the same length and nicely finished flush to the bottom of the ont.  the tech has decided to cut one.  nice.  now I have two different length pipes.

So to the experts,  Whats the the best approach to make it tidy.  Cut down both pipes to about 50MM off the concrete, put an adaptor on and run flexible conduit up to the ONT or cut down to 50MM, but another length of rigid conduit, slide the fat end over the pipes sticking up and cut to the correct length?  just want this to look tidy on a new home and the last two techs I have from spark ( chorus ) did some crap jobs.  when I had the house built they laid green conduit, tried to bend it using heat, overcooked it, bent it over 90 degree and crushed the telecom cable.  a really half assed job and I don't trust them anymore.

I dont have any photos but my parents place was recently done. I am assuming you are referring to the ETP on the outside of the house?

We had 1 pipe coming up from the concrete and they placed a small box on the wall and drilled a hole into the garage for the internal run (in your case it will go over where the microduct is).

It terms of the ONT in the cabinet, Enable are not using ITPs anymore, its integrated into the back of the ONT when its hung in the cabinet.

I found a photo of the conduit that was laid.

perhaps the bends are a bit tight to get the red stuff in, but thats this weekends challenge

Those bends are fine as they are definitely sweeping bends. how many are there in the entire run of conduit?

I would say if they are just pushing the red tube through that it's getting caught on a lip where the conduit has been joined or a bend is installed.

Hence why I suggested to suck a string through then pull the blue builders strap through so you can wrap is around the red tube and tape that on well to pull it through as it should help to stop the red tube from getting caught

How did you get on in the weekend?

Out of interest, what part of Christchurch are you in as I though Enable had finished their network build.
