Very sucky. Wireless coverage is pretty poor there as well with no real alternatives. It would be interesting to know why it was excluded.

The ONT model is the Nokia G-140W-C
One of the issues that can occur with the using the ONT as a RGW rather than putting a separate router is if the ONT is installed somewhere awkward, like a garage which can be common, (as there is often where the copper demark is), it can mean the wifi coverage of the house is poor.
While I think it is a good idea it is still to be fully tested out to see how it goes for end customers.
Install dates current are between Dec 2019 and June 2020 however these dates can and do move around month to month (both forward and backwards)
Green dots are existing buildings with fibre (NGA) fibre, such as some of the new subdivisions and schools.
Hahei is getting fibre in Aug and Sept this year.
Whangpoua, Matarangi and Kuaotuna are getting it between now and mid 2020.
Cooks Beach / Ferry Landing is mid 2021.

They tried to get max bang for buck, which basically means max number of dwellings they can service but that also relies on input costs which are reduced with existing fibre / infrastructure in the area. The only cabinet in the Kuaotuna area is next to the fire station. The cost to run extra fibre from there to Kuaotuna West combined with the number of dwellings it didn't make the cut vs some other area.
There is additional mobile coverage for Kuaotuna area in RBI 2

Exciting news, Chorus civil workers are currently on my street (Bryce Street). My current "available" date is showing either May 2020 (Residential) or August 2020 (Business), really hope that comes back a bit 😬
On the plus side, they have fed the fibre literally about 10CM away from the duct going into my place, it's just behind the fence next to the grey stick thing (I don't know their name). Pics here: https://imgur.com/a/lUsIdE7
It seems a lot of areas have already been laid with ducting, but still not available to order yet.
Looking at the Chorus map, Kuaotunu have order-able fibre, and Matarangis' next on the list.
