bonkiebonks:

Just thought I'd add my 2c.

I've been with TrustPower a little over 6 months now, and I have to say I have had no issues with my internet - contrary to what many people read here or elsewhere.

I have done my calculations prior to joining and while fully aware that they might be a little higher on the price side, I bit the bullet as the "free" TV and soundbar more than offsets the higher price (at least in my case).

In other words you are buying the TV interest free

I just had a guy come around and offer me fastest speed fibre, fixed IP and the 65" TV for $69/month from Trustpower. I am currrently on BP Superspeed Fibre. I think that is what he said but maybe he didn't know what he offering?

I was too busy to talk then but will have a chat tomorrow when I asked him to come back. Don't care if I have to sign up for two years since if it's really terrible I can always get out and pay the break free (depending on what it is).

Do all the UFB providers use the same backhaul?
