DNS won't be more reliable on one or another. Neither voice/video conferencing systems.
My understanding is it retains the direct route, for work from home situations, so the network guys can use this IP through the DMZ and firewall for work from home situations.
Also gaming wise I thought hosting servers it was pretty much mandatory. But we dont host much anymore so thats no biggy.
Lastly the advantage of PI is its enemy, its less secure than a well set up Static IP..
Why did BP use to use Dynamic IP and now they dont at all?
So if the Mrs doesnt need a white listed IP you are saying it matters not Static VS Public?
