Well the RTA1025w uses broadcom chipsets which are good due to stability, another good modem which is also uses these and is pretty solid is the DSE 4 port one (cant remember model).
The WAG200G uses Texas Instruments chipsets.

I cant say much else on the WAG200G, perhaps someone else could assist.

any other recommendations for around $100-125? which the router has came out this year or late 2007. 2005 and 2006 seem to old.

if u say the Asus WL-600G is good why is it better than the RTA1025w. How can u find out by reading the specs of a router so see which one is better?

"better" is always debatable
But if you want to know which routers good
Read the specs and make sure it has what YOU need. eg.. wireless lan
then read reviews to see what people THINK and then you'll get a good idea of which to go for

Apart from looking at its features, one way is to look at what its made up of. Eg Broadcom chipsets are known to be very stable, which is what the RTA1025w uses.
Though if you're looking for something fancy like wireless N, MIMO, Print servers etc the RTA1025w isnt for you. It just does what a router should do.

im just looking for one that has around 4 ports has wireless adsl2+ a router very fast and every thing needed for lag free gaming.

well buying some technology back in 2005 and its going on to 2009, seems quite old. I dont see how 2005, 2006 technology would beat this years technology. So i would like some thing more recent.

The Asus website advertises a "boosted gaming configuration" which from what I can gather is a QoS setting to prioritise gaming traffic (through the router) over other types of traffic. Perhaps google it. There are some mixed reviews on this model.

The Dynalink seems like a safe choice though.

I have being very happy with the netgear dg834G that I have deployed at 3 family members places.

uPNP works, unlike the linksys that I tried. It doesnt need power cycles when it stops working because they dont, and even with me torrent whoring thru it with DHT active (something that killed my last router in hours) doesnt make it die.

I have the DG632 router with no wireless here on my lan and it has being fine. I dont use uPNP here since I have it going into a linux machine as a firewall/QOS machine, but it also doesnt need a powercycle or restart on its own at random times.
