As above, what are you connecting to, what exactly is on port 2200?

That is for uptime monitoring

I'm also planning to change openVPN port from 1194 to 5000
SSH from 22 to 2600
then port 2601 for web GUI

Some other custom ports (port forwarding) for nextcloud, rocketchat and web app

Thank you very much!

I'm guessing, since the monitor dialogue is asking for a Host name, it monitors by doing a simple GET request and is expecting a 200 response. Therefore something needs to be connected to port 2200 to respond to the GET request. ie a simple web server serving at least one default page.

I will try it  when I get back home after work. Thanks!

Hi, yes djt's comment makes sense, I suspect you have totally mis understood what the port monitor feature is about.

Hi everyone,

Thank you all for your help. I did port forwarding to test service and confirmed that I had the issue because I don't have something listening to port 2200. Sorry for my dumbness.

I really appreciate all your help. Very good community here. Take care, everyone!

Security through obscurity doesn't apply much these days with modern ports scanners

If you have open ports you need to maintain safe patch levels on everything or lock to certain IP addresses
