nztim: True but Contact and Trustpower have their own networks, no excuses here
Correct, that takes away one of the layers but that was only one example noted :)

Thankfully, ended up working out.
Had to call to remind them to show up, but once here (this time I was here as well) they did a quick/good job.
Don't want to have to go through this again anytime soon. I think the main issue is bad communication as there are too many parties involved. No one knew what was going on, until we hounded and hounded them. I also think the complaints definitely sped up the process, but took hours upon hours of phone time to achieve.
There are some of us here who are like - pffffffttttttttt, you think you had it bad lolz When you roll over the year mark of being jerked around THEN start telling us how bad you had it 😂

Nova use someone else
Are you sure that is the case for Contact? I still think they resell.
Looking at the two links you attached, it appears that the networks assigned to Contact are for their general operations (e.g. head office / generation sites etc), not for the ISP side. 512 addresses seems really small for an company to run an ISP off and power generation operations, even with CGNAT.
FYI not sure exactly what you guys are talking about, however there was definitely some middleman between Contact and Chorus when I was dealing with them.
