From memory, he lives in Pegasus, so only cable available there (sadly) - no DSL whatsoever.

Vodafone sadly has that area tied up in a pretty firm knot

Luckily, it's the only one :)

Only Vodafone monopoly I know but not the only monopoly in NZ - There are new build areas round the Manawatu which are exclusively inspire.net private fibre

That’s awesome @JaseNZ :) Please tell everyone you know, the less we spend on marketing the more we make for the Ambos. Tell your god daughter we are grateful for all her hard work.

Sounds like an admirable charity to support. You mentioned that over 1000 ambos will benefit, which implies not all ambos..how will I know that the local guys are going to directly benefit? Does that also include the Wellington Free Ambulance staff.

Hi, yes we get asked that a lot. We want YelloHalo profits to be directed to as many front line Ambulance Officers as we can practically support, no matter which service they are with, so we have worked with Ambulance Professionals First to get the initiative launched.
Ambulance officers from Ambulance Professionals First represent the majority of front line ambulance officers from the majority of services including St John, Wellington Free, Healthline and a number of air ambulance services.
Right now we are urging Kiwis around the country to sign up to YelloHalo and give back to the heroes who save lives in our communities every day.
If you would like to switch to YelloHalo please head over to our site yellohalo.co.nz

Kind regards
Graeme

Appreciate the response.

So you are a charity supporting a union. Sounds like a political hot potato to me, and I personally can't support just a subset of ambos based on their union preference. NZ employment law allows employees to choose whether to join a union or not and if they wish to join a union they should be able to do so with free choice.

I wish you well in your endeavors

Thanks for your feedback and the well wishes.

Our focus is not on supporting a union but the frontline workers who work tirelessly in our communities every day and every night. Working with New Zealand’s largest and most respected ambulance union simply enables us to provide this support to more than 1200 ambos nationwide. We are not politically motivated, not pro-union – just a family owned, Kiwi company wanting to give back.
