Is there any nz sites I could download from to test this?

Will be calling them today, what should I be asking them about these speed limits?

Confirm you are on proper fibre and no wireless link anywhere probably the main thing.

So I'm getting full speed downloads with that link - 11.8MB/s through Internet download manager

Update:

Just got off the phone with CLIC Support, my international Bandwidth is capped at 20mpbs. Currently waiting a call back from the company regarding this as they get a separate company to look after their equipment.

So is it actually fibre or wireless that you're running on? Sorry I'm a bit confused.

Sorry must have missed that comment, it is completely fibre all the way through the network. No wireless at all.

Iceroadlegend: So they have installed a ONT with a fibre cable running in from outside. I had to 2 wait 2 weeks so they could get a tech of there own to blow the fibre cable through to the house.

The exchange box is right around the corner. They stared off as wireless since the could get the tech here but took the gear away when they put the cable in.

They provided a Mikrotik router. Currently not at home to take a picture of the ont.

I am picking that CLIC ( who are a WISP in Central Otago) have now branched out into providing non-UFB Fibre for subdivisions as well, but have not put this on their website yet

Iceroadlegend:
So recently moved into a new subdivision and only found out 3 weeks before move in that Chrous did not put the fibre in but rather a local ISP, CLIC (Central Lakes Internet Company) So the likes of Sparks could not see my address because these guys had done the fibre in the subdivision and we can only get internet through them (not the reason for this post but if anyone can chime in on whether this is legal or not would be fantastic)

My connection is suppose to be 100/20

As a matter of interest - how much are you paying for the connection?

kinda sounds like bandwidth that isn't going over peering is hitting points of contention somewhere along the way.

Looks like after talking to them about getting faster speeds via VPN my connection is now limiting through it.

Starts out at 10MB/s then slow drops back to 2.3MB/s.
