Don't expect good speed through that ISP from rapidshare, torrents or other P2P applications/protocols before 8-9PM at night.

Signs of Shaping

"Game patches"

Yeah that's no secret that p2p is given a very low priority on Weekdays before 8pm. I haven't tested RS on weekends. Maybe you could do that?

Just switched to maxnet from xnet. Average switch over, would of liked more feedback as to what was happening. Had to ring them in the end, apart from that very quick and fast.
Tested my international speeds, consistantly 1.5MB+ to japan/ US etc. 5MB+ to aussie also. (8pm sat).

Xnet had nothing like that.

WXC voip works fine over maxnet too.

One thing i am about to find out is did they liase with xnet? is my xnet now cancelled or is that my responsibility?

Always ring your old ISP after the change over is done to close the account.

Xnet will automatically get an Email from telecom and also from the new ISP as those two ISPs are part of that scheme where they notify each other (not all ISPs take part and ask first before transferring customers)

however closing your account is always your responsibility as you may have other services which are not automatically canceled.

The winback notifications don't seem to work or be acted on half the time by some ISP's always ring and cancel/close your account after you've changed.
