A plug in adapter is hardly going to break the bank of any installer and is the least work for them, and it removes the hassles when the customers buy a new phone etc because their old one looks stupid in the nice new kitchen etc.

Have you looked at Computer Dynamics ?  http://www.cdlnz.com

Note that I am only a customer - I have no special relaitonship to or with them, but they do supply a lot of networking and telephone type stuff to those in the know.
