Jase2985: i have no idea why mine is so low as my SNR and attenuation is the same as it was when i was on 56/10 when the snr was 9 i was on 65/10.

dan: my VDSL speed has been dropping steadly last few years, 3 years ago was nearly 60mbit down 10 up, so its nice to be back to better than i was. Crosstalk sucks.
SamF: Based on many years of work with xDSL 'modems', I have a theory that the comms circuitry in any device gradually degrades over time. It seems to happen to all of them, regardless of initial quality.

Same experience here. Used to be 60+ and now down to 48 Mbit/s down. I hope 998 rolls out here soon because we're not scheduled for fibre until after July 2017. In the middle of Auckland. >:(

I'll test that theory. I've got a FritzBox 7490 that 2Degrees sent me for free (well for signing for 12 months when I switched over to the unlimited plan), I just haven't got around to setting it up yet.
