Still nice to be back at 70, and the increase to upload speeds is great.

Well... this is odd.

I had my first post 998 DLM resync on Sunday morning, which dropped my previously low 0.3 CRCPM rate to 2/10ths of SFA as per my error graph above, but then this morning I was resynced again and now I'm on DLM-6!  I'm going backwards here and I can't see why!

SNR is 8 vs 9, but that kind of difference has never been an issue in the past.  Perhaps the 998 config on the DSLAMs is fussier than the previous setup?

In hindsight, my Sunday resync probably dumped me from DLM-2 to DLM-4.

I've lost 4mbit of downstream and 1 of upstream speed as well :_(

On a related, but interesting note: in the week prior to my 998 upgrade my Fritz was on the fritz, rebooting itself 2-3 times a day on average.  Since the 998 upgrade it hasn't rebooted once!  It could be coincidence and I can't really see how it's related, but it's interesting timing!

@SamF:  Mine did something quite similar.  Initially after the first 998 DLM resync I was syncing at 45/10, 8ms latency and INP at 1. Then this morning (or yesterday morning) DLM resynced and bumped my INP up to 2 and I lost around 3Mbits down and 1 up. I think error rates are very low on mine, so not really sure why.

Hmm, it will be interesting to see how this plays out!

@SamF: it's interesting that you've been moved to a slower DLM profile. I started off with DLM-2 too, but it's settled on DLM-1 now.

Hopefully your line is just going through the process of sorting itself out and not showing signs of trouble.

Well that's what I don't understand, there are no signs of trouble, at least from what I can see.  <shrug> Oh well, what can you do? :)

@SamF: Looks like I had another DLM change this morning, cause now I'm back on DLM-1! :)   Hopefully similar happens on your line.

(Was interesting to see it go straight from DLM6 to DLM1)

Well, I'm back to DLM-2/4 this morning (I can't tell which on my Fritz) so that's a step in the right direction!  My sync speeds are back up to my 2nd resync level now too.

Merry New Year everyone! :D

I was upgraded to DLM-1 recently, after about a month of ~0 CRCPM operation, but not before being dropped to DLM-6 for a few days!?

The previous sync was 69.7Mbits as well, still at 0 CRCPM, which was a bit surprising.

Currently sitting at a still respectable 65Mbits, but my errors are higher than I would like and seem very dependent on the time of day:

Quite an interesting development there..

in an area with alot of old people who would have the mentality of turning modem off at night? by chance?

odd right there ^^

after some issues with a major fault at the exchange im back from 70/25 to 70/30 and have an SNR of 20/9.5dB which was previouslly 14/9dB, currently sitting at 1.6 CRC error seconds/hour

wife commented that the connection seemed a lot faster.....

I don't live in a retirement village if that's what you're asking... :P

No, not that I'm aware of...
