kiwitrc:gareth41: well im using ubiquity gear to get ufb to my new place in massey from daytona road. sure beats having adsl2+ which is the only one available at my new address according to the chorus sat and still no indication for ufb. slight increase in latency by a few ms but speedtest.net results roughly more or less the same as if i was plugged directly in. Im on the 10/30 plan.
Just finished doing a site test yesterday to do the same thing, and also planning on using Ubiquity to do the same. What distance are you running over, good line of sight etc?
Just over 1km, I copied a large file directly over the wifi link to a pc at other end and got around 7.5mbytes/s
