cokemaster: Really?

Yes, really! See BT57's above posts. He works for Telecom and he too had thought it was a hoax until he found out otherwise (see post 62240). Apparently the marketing team delivered an internal memo to all Telecom staff about what marketing activity would surround the launch of Yahoo!Xtra, and the memo included a screenshot of this e-mail but staff had to click on a link to see it. Presumably some staff have failed to fully read the memo and / or click on the link so are under the misapprehension that the e-mail is bogus. The lack of 'Xtra' logo on the e-mail does make it look unofficial and presumably that was the idea - to make people wonder about it and talk about it, which certainly seems to have worked!

nunz: Damn I hate that place.

Nunz what possible logic could lead you to become and then remain to be a customer of a company you clearly hate so much?

Lets not forget that mistakes happen. From what I've seen big companies make big mistakes.

Although that's no excuse for spam. From what I have heard however someone's had a slap on the hand.
