i am a bit concerned about the master filter situation?

TeaLeaf: i was considering isolating the main jack in and killing the other 2.
how much is the filter?

TeaLeaf: can i install a master splitter/filter myself? the house is approx 10 years old. i guess its possible prior tenants have already had one installed.
whats the cheapest modem/router to buy for vdsl?
TeaLeaf: Spark is only $10 more and you get a $125 credit and a free modem over 12 months. so essentially the $125 pays for the difference, plus you get a free modem providing you dont disconnect early, if so the modem costs you $199?
What modem do they give you?
Im trying to get my head around why bigpipe is better than spark?
TeaLeaf: interesting, it doesnt say that. and when you click on nked broadband etc its still there as a perk. i may have to ring them to confirm i guess.
given bigpipes a subsidary, would i be doing badly joining either spark or bigpipe? seems about much of a muchness for price, just depends on commitment.
edit: oh yeah forgot about bigpipes first month free, that does change things a bit.
