A single isolated jackpoint will do prettymuch the same thing.

can i install a master splitter/filter myself? the house is approx 10 years old. i guess its possible prior tenants have already had one installed.

whats the cheapest modem/router to buy for vdsl?

This does the same thing. If you are confident enough to do that, then you don't need to worry about the master filter situation.

Spark is only $10 more and you get a $125 credit and a free modem over 12 months. so essentially the $125 pays for the difference, plus you get a free modem providing you dont disconnect early, if so the modem costs you $199?

What modem do they give you?

Im trying to get my head around why bigpipe is better than spark?

I thought you don't get the $125 credit on the naked plans. Only on the plans that come with landline, which are much more expensive.

(and Bigpipe also comes with first month free)

given bigpipes a subsidary, would i be doing badly joining either spark or bigpipe? seems about much of a muchness for price, just depends on commitment.

edit: oh yeah forgot about bigpipes first month free, that does change things a bit.

bigpipe may be part of Digital ventures, but they are their own isp remember...
