eXDee: Going to give this a go, seems like a good idea.

However their server has issues with speed, im pulling 20kb/s for the installer, and it doesnt support download resuming so my download manager cant split up the file :(

edit: so far the process is just sitting there, increasing in mem usage 200k at a time and then pausing for 20s before increasing again. then it drops down again and repeats the process.
edit2: now sitting idle on 7.5mb usage, program hasnt opened yet.

Sounds like EXACTLY what I got - the process is there, but no UI ever comes up...

Same here.. Installed... Icon there... works.. but after a reboot the tray icon goes away. Installed twice, and same problem.
Have informed them.

ctrl-alt-del, kill the process, and restart the app. Not a fix I know, but it does bring it back to life.

Nope, not for me. Tried that multiple times, over a couple of reboots... Icon never comes up :(

I got a reply from them basically saying they didn't know what the prob could be, but did ask for logs from the program... I'll get those off to them tonight.

Cheers - N

Installed this on my home PC over RDP without an issue. I sync at 12000/1030 so as far as Line Tests go this pretty accurate considering some bandwidth was still being used by RDP while the tests were running. Should be interesting to watch those graphs over a week or two.

I prefer ctrl-shift-esc. Interestingly, I notice that when I kill the process (because the icon isn't showing up), the program restarts automatically all by itself. This time properly showing both the system and user processes, and the icon in the tray.

Something which appears to have been intentionally omitted is the ability to view somewhat accurate ISP comparisons. I would gladly pay to see how all this user data has been collated and how the ISP's stack up against one another. It would be a relatively simple process at their end and provide is with an instant answer to performance and reliability issues with regards to whom we should give our money Laughing
