Any chance of other days in the future. I cannot make it that day.

Unfortunately I can't commit to it - mostly because I'm not Auckland based.
We do have plenty of other Auckland staff though... So maybe? :)

Understood, Thanks. Will keep a lookout.

Smuggle me in there with you!

idk... pretty sure you have a neax to play with...

Keep your NEAX, Step by Step was far more fun and much more interesting to work on.

Friend of mine used to work on the Levin cross bar(one of the last in the early 90s) told me all the stories about getting electric shocks while cleaning the contacts

For the folks who got a ticket, you should have received an email with further details.

If you have a ticket, but not the email with the lab address, etc... let me know.

Huge thanks to Brent (@BMarquis) for organizing this, and also thanks to the rest of the team at the Chorus lab for taking time from their day to show us around and explain how things work, and delve into future products they are planning/testing.

Its an awesome setup there and if anyone else gets the chance its well worth the time to have a look round.

Once again, Thanks.

I'm gonna have to start shaking people down until they let me in for a looksie - I've been in the industry too long to not get to play with the toys dammit!
Did we get any photos, group or otherwise?

Brent took some i believe

if you are in the industry Brent said it should be easy enough to organize a visit through your product/account manager.

We were one of the first non industry/organization tours through there.

just 8gig fibre and the devices needed behind it, + different ONT that may be available in the future.

a little bit on broadcast tv but more aimed at the commercial sector to implement.

Aha, I hadn't heard about TV recently so it's good to know that it's still happening. It seemed to get overshadowed with Vodafone TV.

Thanks to Brent and the team for the tour yesterday. Was very interesting. Now I have to go and source some faster networking gear for home and work.
