Any views expressed on these forums are my own and don't necessarily reflect those of my employer.
Saving a few dollars a months still wouldn't convince me to remain on cable, especially if fibre is available. But you could probably wait to the end of your contract and change over then.
Just remember it won't be a free install forever.
Ring up Chorus, they'll probably do an installation for free for you without involving an ISP seeing as they've been cold calling people offering installs. If you want an integrated wiring jack that might be an issue as I'm not sure which party usually pays for that.
