Its a green light. What should i replace that flat cable with in the future?

Our original install date was meant to be today (but the installers decided to do it the same day as the initial visit), so possibly Chorus have today as the date for it to get signed off??

a standard cat5e or cat 6 cable you can pick up from pbtech for a few bucks.

GE1 light orange or green?

Keep in mind that this only applies to older Chorus ONTs. On the Gen 3 ones the LEDs only show green to my knowledge, regardless of the speed the link is connected at. Since OP had a new install, I would assume Chorus has installed a Gen 3 ONT.

So I was correct, Chorus wont do anything until today, as today was our "scheduled install date", so even though it was installed on Tuesday, they wont sign it off until today. Go figure!

And now as it turns out after talking to slingshot again, they haven't put us on the correct plan, they only put us on 100Mbps not the 700 as we requested, and now we have to wait till Monday to get sorted apparently. Had issues with them when we moved into this house last year as well and had no service for a week or so...

Dynamix CAT 6 patch cable is of excellent quality.  Can be found at PB Tech.

Don't buy no-name generic stuff with missing cert numbers.

Thanks for that but the my reply was in response to the GE1 Light, orange = 100mbps green = 1gbps

so 105mbps down has to be a 1gbps lan connection, or else it would max at 93-94mbps.

Throughput of 105mbps doesn't automatically mean GbE.

so the Ethernet port can negotiate a speed thats not 100mbps or GbE?

Either way it proves the port isnt connected at 100mpbs doesn't it.
