I think the Enable Hyperfibre areas are live on their address checker, so hopefully no need to call

Anyone know which model of ONT they are installing?

You have to call to book in your installation date (once you've placed your order).

Anyone else lose service for a few minutes around 3 PM? Wonder if it's related to the Hyperfibre order.

Never experienced a daytime fibre outage before.

My friend just got his install completed. The connection was not working at all and he told the technician this. The technician just went "oh well" and left.

Probably won't work yet as the order still needs to close and the RSP needs to be updated on the provisioning details.

However that... should be automatic at this point and also should be confirmed...

My friend… is the RSP lol. The order is showing as completed on the LFC end. Fault has been lodged but doesn’t look like they’ll be having service anytime today.

That's very awkward.

That's not good. My recent experience wasn't dissimilar with the outsourced Enable techs, they basically said it connected to the Enable network, so as far as they were concerned that was job done.

The difference was Quic: they were monitoring the Discord, saw me flagging the issue, and proactively reached out before I'd even chased them. Credit where it's due it got sorted "quic"ly because they actually drove it, working with Enable to close it out. The LFC layer can feel like a bit of a black box, but a good RSP makes all the difference.

Turns out that they did not configure the correct port (configured the 1G port for a 2G service) and they did not apply VLAN tagging. Very odd! Working now though after yet another short 40 minute wait on hold.
