Zeon: While I think its probably a good service offering internet filtering for kids as an OPTIONAL extra.. its the compulsory filtering with the Dept. of Internal Affairs which put me off spending 1.5k with them p/m... Also the sales guy never followed up with me.
maxzzz: I'm with Maxnet since a few months now and I can say that their service is really great speed and latency wise. Their customer service is very helpful.
But most importantly when you want to discuss very technical aspects then you get the answers you are looking for!
I'm using their 100G plan and so far so good, especially since I'm cabinetized.
I'm just missing my firefox plugin "Net Usage" which was compatible with my previous ISP but not with MaxNet, as they do not throttle you after reaching your cap (and with $10/2GB overage) you are better of checking your allowance regularly!
In a nutshell: you get what you pay for...

I read somewhere that the list of blocked sites was down to something like 154 from 7000 or so, so not really a problem for even hard core p0rn addicts. Of course if you don't fit into the aforementioned category then you have nothing to fear but fear itself.
The other 'netguardian' filtering product is an optional extra if you're needing to shake a habit...
I seem to remember the sales person I passed your PM onto did follow up with you over a few conversations, including once on one of his off-days. I'll follow up for you anyway unless you're talking about a different instance.
EZAS:dacraka: Just rang up and they said it is only for new customers only which sucks
You failed to mention that the person you spoke to said they'd try and authorize an upgrade for you anyway.
Looks like you're on a parachute plan now.
