According to woosh.com

"...Upload design speed is 120Kbps for all plans." But looks as if they may have opened the door on this too. Not too sure what the technology is capable upstream but I imagine you would struggle to get anything over the 512 mark, maybe even less

Now they need to work on getting the latency to a reasonable level. When i checked yesterday I was getting an average of 425MS to woosh.com and upwards of 550 to my server in the US.

Well Woosh are making an effort.

I'll stick with them for a while longer: 2GB per month for $39.95 with the following speed (3 bars on modem - raining and trees)

Download Speed: 601 kbps (75.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 48 kbps (6 KB/sec transfer rate)

And I don't have to pay for turbo anymore - saves me $5 per month...

The latency sounds like a killer. I get better pings on EVDO at only $49 p/meg and I can use it anywhere there is coverage.

Well not the best start to my day. I woke up to no hot water (the apartment building I live in cant explain why the 150 or so people in the building have no hot water) and then jump on the PC and all Woosh will do is national data :(

Not a good thing to happen the day after you increase your speed to try and be more competative. Maybe its  a sign the Woosh NW just isn't up to it

My Woosh connection was fine last night, but I had major problems with it this morning. Whenever I connected, it would work fine for about 30 seconds, and then slow down to a crawl (slower than GPRS). I tried a firmware upgrade, and that made no difference.

Hopefully it will be sorted by the time I get home tonight.

Jaffa: They can offer 3mbs with their current basestations but I think they need to update their software. I cant remember what way arround it is :D

They can offer 16Mbps per sector with their current network setup which has 3 sectors per cellsite. Network capacity isn't a problem when you have no users, the only problem they face is if they get new customers! :-)
