How do I know if I am running the latest firmware? Are if not how do I upgrade?

I upgraded the firmware when I first got woosh as per the setup instructions.

Run the firmware flasher utility, this will tell you the version you currently have..

Now of course the useless website has no link to the firmware files.

You'll have to phone the 5:53 minute wait support line.

one catch...... They won't let you access the file from OUTSIDE THE WOOSH NETWORK usually you kinda want a file like this to FIX A FAULT.

Woosh just cease to amaze me with their plain stupidity!

latest vers is 1.0.24-5.2.1.16a

Doesn't the ftp site work anymore?

I haven't got Woosh running right now (can't be arsed to place the aerial outside the window, etc etc) so can't test the ftp access. IIRC, it's restricted to Woosh customers only.

I signed up for woosh in February at Vic Uni. They were doing an offer for free setup so it cost nothing at all.

I had a few setup problems to start with (that i don't think a 'normal' user would handle) but since then it has worked perfectly.

I plugged it into a wireless router on the 2nd day and there are 5 of us that connect to it and i haven't touched it since.

We get the $60/month plan so it costs about $12 each.

While I wish there was a more expensive plan (2MB, 20GB maybe) what we get is good for the price.

Peter

P.S. FTP site is working fine for me
