I am not sure how soon you will see SKY rocking up anyway - presumably satellite owners have the same issue all infrastructure providers have - a large upfront capital cost so they will want to lock in users i.e. SKY amongst others for its economic life.

At least a satellite isn't regulated in NZ - if I were them I am not sure I would be rushing to change for that fact alone.
