And I have already mentioned that technically there is SFA difference between Wired Country's existing Axcellera gear and "Wimax" equipment . In fact the existing hardware is firmware upgradeable to be compliant but this reduces spectral if you look at the product data sheets (http://www.axxcelera.com/online/product_display.php?id=3038), probably a major reason it hasn't been 'upgraded'.
Bandwidth wise in offerings you would probably expect to see similar plans from new player with commercial products (not trials) if they have the same amount of spectrum space. The underlying economics behind this does not change significantly by brand of equipment.
