networkn: I am now at 68/11.3 is that the best I am likely to get? How do I tell if I have been moved to Band 988? I hope it will be better since I was at 65/10 before.

10360 was the old maximum upload, so you'll be on 998.  sync may change slightly when you get shifted to dlm-1, but not by much.  to get much more speed you have to hope you get shifted to 17a, ..

is that the sync rate in your modem or a speed test result?

if its the latter check the former. going off your before speed i would suggest its probably synced at 70/very close to 30, and you are being limited by your ISP. and who is your ISP?

I have had both lines now on several connections get basically adsl2+ rates, even tho listing VDSL in the connection stats.

This is with a netcomm nf4v on both of the connections.

Also they seem to have enabled the thing so the speed goes up and down as conditions change now. I had a 55 meg down sync during the powercut last night, and when it came back it just slid back down to 30ish while sticking to the 9ish SNR figure.

are you saying seemless rate adaptation is enabled?

You sure it didnt resync? every other device i have seen so far has not implied SRA is enabled now.

So the sync rate changed without the line resyncing?

Not seen it happen directly while looking at the numbers but rates dropped and resync counter not gone up and no interruption. Normally rate would stay the same and noise margin would have dropped considerably.

Would be interesting to see if you can get any indication to SRA's status on the nf4c.

Fritzbox does show if its active or not on its page, but i suspect the nf4c you would need to dig around in the telnet interface to find it.

that only shows if sra is enabled on the client end, not whether or not it's active.
