Ild question your statement of having over 10mbit before 998...

Based off your previous posts of your line stats, Have you possibly confused Your Attainable with your Actual rate here? Attainable are simply a attempted calculation..

Just check my old stats.

You are correct tongue-out

Mine got upgraded overnight

Speed went from 41/10 to 70/29 as i am on 17a. The funny thing is the downstream changed at about 330am and the upstream changed at about 445.

As you can see from the after stats they are all over the place, with 15dB down SNR and my attenuation has gone up by about 1.5dB

Also as spark hasnt upgraded their BGN's im still hamstrung with the actual speed i can achieve from sites etc. Apparently this is being addressed but its not a priority

According to Voyager, Chorus haven't packaged this ready to go so they can't do anything to my upload speed as yet, I am stuck at 11Mbps.

The first post in this thread would indicate otherwise?

As i understand it, there is the implementation side and the paperwork/retail roll out offering to ISP's. The second part isn't ready yet.

It's why my line which should be showing upload of 29Mbps is only showing 11300 or so.

Must be ISP specific. Some (like OP's) just need Chorus to upgrade the DSLAM and they get the higher throughout automatically.

Seems unlikely to me that Chorus would treat ISPs differently. One of the big no no's of being a regulated wholesaler?

IMO those who aren't getting closer to their new sync speeds are being limited by their ISPs, who have set their networks up under the assumption that a VDSL line will never sync faster than 70/10.

pretty sure its ISP specific. the isp needs to implement an upgrade on their system. I know for spark they have to upgrade something on their BNG's. See here: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=49&topicid=176892&page_no=29#1432175 that post and Talkiets a few down from there.

@JamesL im guessing your INP and delay has dropped though, which would indicate you are back to DLM-1 and because of that you have lost a little speed to keep the line stable. Probably just DLM doing its thing

Anyone had any issues with not being able to reconnect after the 998 upgrade? my bro in law who lives over the road hasnt been connected since about 430 this morning (about the same time mine cut over) his line is about 25m longer than mine and hes on an 8b profile.

hes using the audiocodes mp 264 on a spark connection so im wondering if it doesnt support 998, but how would one find that out? Hes not home for the weekend so i might throw my technicolour tg589 in there and see if that works to rule out the connection being the issue.

Maybe, but I'm still pinging 20ms on my first hop vs 4ms when I was on DLM

Spark line is still at 58Mbps

I don't think the Zyxel modem stats are really accurate
