While the public version has been dumbed down I must sat the upgraded maps are fantastic if you have a login to access these, the level of data and layers on these is vastly superior to what was available before.

Yes they just need to sort the horribly similar colour schemes.

Agreed... I told the developer that too.. having similar colours isn't good for the colour blind peeps.

The UFB map has had a minor colour update; year 3 is now a lighter shade of blue so it's easier to distinguish from completed.

I KNEW this was not just me.  I am terribly colour blind.  I had trouble distinguishing a 10Mb/s+ zone from the UFB areas on the old map.

This is annoying, i frequently assist people with their broadband connections. I'm sure others did this too.

Wish i had access to the detailed maps, how lame that it's locked out. -_-

The Telecom Wholesale link above still gives the old information.

Can I please have access, pretty please :)
Maybe I'll start my own ISP, Caffeine Internet; for those who are addicted to the net as much as coffee. All plans are unmetered, just pick your CIR.
Decafe; basic Internet for email and TradeMe type users
FlatWhite; regular Internet for the average all round user
Double Shot; at least twice as fast, great for gamers.
Intravenous; for seriously addicted Internet users
And Night Cap; for those who drink too much coffee and surf the net all night.

And sorry Don, these plans don't start at $10 per month :)

And not to forget, a master splitter install is mandatory for all connections!

Rural IT and Broadband support.

Starlink installer - one month free: https://www.starlink.com/?referral=RC-32845-88860-71

naggyman: http://bcc.telecomwholesale.co.nz/ still works. All the same information.

This now appears to be gone too :(
Was good for checking cabinet ID's for the majority of urban areas.

Now using
http://gis.geek.nz/infrastructure.html
And selecting Chorus Cabinets, as this gives a physical cabinet location. Not as easy with figuring out the boundary the cabinet covers, as you have to sort of guess + combine with Chorus SAT but it's functional enough.

Yes, I do a bit of that too. You can usually work it out, as the chorus/maps page does tend to give boundary of cabinet / exchange outlines.
