TeaLeaf: given the $20 grabone deal, i think pigpipe seems like a no brainer now :-)
the only choice now is, do i really need vdsl, we dont watch heaps of streaming and its always low definition.
TeaLeaf: because we simply dont care about pixels and we dont game online much.
its likely to be more of an issue downloading files too and from cloud services. im pretty much set on vdsl, will be moving back into fibre zone 2016.
Well sending data TO the cloud relies on your upload speed. VDSL is 10 x faster than ADSL in this regard typically so that would be a major consideration I'd think.
TeaLeaf: I dont want a static IP, not having connected to the net in NZ for years, what do I ask for here? Public IP?
TeaLeaf: So what is the benefit of public IP? Is it preferable not to be behind the CGNAT?
