Can we expect to see the chorus maps website updated to reflect the new speeds?

20Mbps+ isn't much of a guide when between 50-75Mbps is possible and in some cases very likely.

20+mbps is VDSL capable and its always been anywhere between 15 and 70mbps. the only thing i can see changing is the actual areas if they do end up extending the range of the cabinets.

remember its a guide, to let you know the technology you can get not the speed you can expect

For simplicity ild say no, not possible.

What could be possible though, is segregating 8b and 17a range (since 17a is based off fixed maximum figures)

This would give the same affect that you somewhat see with 10mbit+ and 5mbit+ but the layers could get confusing.

Yes we are seeing a difference, but when I look by ISP they are up and down. I suspect lots of changes are occurring due to DLM impacting as well as changes to the plan.

Here is a summary of VDSL average of median speeds for all panelists - about 100

can you get a subset of the users that are around Howick? Considering that only a few users have changed, the increases must be pretty significant to bring up the average like that.

Sample would be too small for a Hawick sample

Watch the scale the tool automatically adjusts the scale to show the changes, in this case changing the appearance too much. The change is not that great.

I also wonder if changes to DLM are driving changes, because individual lines tend to step up and down irregularly, hard to tell how the nice looking line develops without exploring a lot more.

Considering 998 only seems to be in Howick right now, thats the only place the changes would really be that noticeable in.

Overall improvement ild say would just be the sinewave of connections settling.. DLM itself would change lines by a few mbit going between say DLM-1 and DLM-4. DLM-1 and DLM-2 on a marginal line is often noticeable in sync rate.

considering this is around the country, and afaik measure average speeds not peak speeds it may just be that isp's are starting to deal better with their handover/bras congestion issues.

Dont know when it happened, but my VDSL (in Whangaparaoa) has crept up a fraction from 42/10 to 50/10. Being a Huawei, cant get any real detail out of the router......

i seem to have broken that program all together for mine..

Best option would probably be running one in sandboxie, another user or something of the sorts..

if your lucky there might be a comandline flag you could pass... i dont see one mentioned though.
