Considering im tweaking it up, decreasing my syncrate and error rate (still zero errors), i imagine it can only do good things for DLM?
Unless a high SNR is one of its measures. We'll see in time anyway. Call it an experiment.

SamF: Hmm, I'd be careful about doing a DLM reset with an SNRM tweak, we don't know how this will affect the DLM process.

I'd imagine it would only do good things. My error rate ramped up yesterday after getting the fastest speeds to date, then DLM kicked me back to my old sync rates :(

DLM is certainly very active since getting the port refresh, hopefully it will settle down on a good profile

My line reset and came back online after about 5 minutes of no sync being available. Syncrate has dropped to 32952. I think that was the reset getting put through. Still DLM-2. Going to watch it over the next week or so.

Interesting, my error rates are up today too. I'm now 10.13 CRCPM and SNR Ratio keeps dropping to zero! :-0... I'm torn between just leaving it to see what it does... or pulling back my SNR Tweak a bit to get CRCPM under 10.

Seems like a lot of effort is spent fretting over error rates on VDSL2 :|

I look forward to fretting over them too if/when Snap provision it

unfortunately, unless chorus increase the error rate limits for DLM-1, its always gonna be that way..

that 14ms decrease in latency is crucial in more than just gaming and response times...

Lol, yeah well if the error rates are too high we loose our precious DLM-1! :O And then we have to wait up to a month to get it back :/

Maybe it's coincidence, but my error rates appear to be up today as well...

Yeah I know, it sucks. My partner will know I've gone to DLM-2 when she sees me sulking :P

Hahaha, classic!

First time I got on DLM-1 I was all excited and told my wife about it. I got a raised eyebrow and an 'uhuh...' lol.

mhm, i certainly did mourn my loss of DLM-1 (after all i did give it a helping hand in leaving..) i foresee my DLM-1 going again unfortunately...

@JamesL: Bummer, you're still waiting?

It seems a few people have had issues with snap's processes in following up on things. I must admit I had to check progress with them through a couple of phone calls when signing up; Both times I found snap were actually waiting on me to progress my order, but I couldn't remember them actually communicating to me that I need to do something until I rang up. Might be worth just ringing them if you haven't. On the plus side when I have rung them in the past they're always super helpful and I've rarely had to wait long in queues or anything.

With regards to error rates they're only really any issue if your line has issues or you have a large SNR Tweak in place. For most people no SNR Tweak is probably fine and there should be little no need to worry about error rates.

PS: Is it just me or do error rates seem to matter more on new connections than older ones?

i recall much the same case with my gf.. she just nods and goes back to whatever she was doing now, past the point of attempting to understand why/how its such an exciting thing..

Hehe, I'm pretty sure I've heard a 'That's nice dear...' before in response to my comments on such things :D

Haha, glad I'm not alone in celebrating such triumphs or commiserating the loss

Yeah, to be fair I signed up on Saturday. I messaged them on Facebook this evening just to follow up as I haven't heard anything other than the automated welcome message

Well, this is why Geekzone exists of course, so us geeks can share in the celebrations and commiserations! :)
