Hi there, recently I had bought a faulty GPU on Trademe and I need to fix it. I have been reading online a bit and the safest and most effective option is to use an oven to bake it at 200C for around 10 min. Yes this is my last resort and was wondering where and who I could lend me their oven to do this. I have contacted some of my friends and they have yet to reply to me (probably thinks this is a hoax), but it is not! Thank you for reading and offering your advice.

Edit: I am willing to pay for such services and commercial ovens could do too!

Um, I think it would have different effects in the microwave. You'd think that the rays of microwave beam would give unstable/uneven cooking, and that metal + microwave, or circuit board + microwave = not good.

Edit: Yeah I am familiar with the process of baking a GPU in the oven, but I do not have one, sorry if my original post was misleading.

Wait till the temperatures in Auckland reaches to an insane peak. Go out to the beach and leave the GPU sunbathing there. Just be careful not to place it near the waters. ;) But I'm aware that you'll have to remove the cooler and any other heatsinks to accomplish this.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

And even lock it in a car (un-seen) This is a grand idea, I'll try it. Thanks.
