Does a service exist like this in NZ or AUS or USA?

Where I can rent a desktop virtual pc like..
- So I can run software 24/7
- No worries about down time of internet or power connections.
- Get access via remote control to operate my virtual pc .
- Completely trusted with my information.
- Upload/download files etc

Any ideas ??

You best chance would be to contact a web hosting provider. Most Windows Server hosts provide remote access.

Computing is moving away from the local desktop paradigm to ASP like functionality as provided by Googleaps.

If you're fairly literate, you could perhaps create your own using Amazon's S3 and cloud computing.

$48.95 for:

2Gb DiskSpace
5GB Transfer
200Mb Ram
Remote Desktop
ASP, .NET, PHP
MSSQL / MySQL
HSPc Control Panel
Windows 2003

from www.openhost.co.nz - haven't used them myself (yet), but it seems like a good option.

We have been using Openhost commercially for the last 2 years and can only say great things about them.

That would be a very good option
