Hello

Havent used the adsl router for a while, going to go back to a better Ethernet connection. Anyway, i have googled heaps and cant seem to resolve the problem. I cannot connect to the internet. the Ethernet light, adsl link light, power light are constant. how ever the status one is on and off approx 1 second apart. I can connect to the router and have checked the settings. under status within the router, it is waiting for responce....... never does anymore than that. It worked last time i used it. does anyone have any tips i may have missed. Check all the vpi/c etc. thanks.

Look at the logs. Is it sending PPP LCP requests and then timing out?

If so, log a fault with your ISP. I have seen this recently here with the 502T they have. Turned out there was some ADSL/ISP problem (I didn't ask for details, thus why so vauge)

Is the router being assigned a public IP address on its WAN port?

If not, then there is a problem with either:

1) The tunnel to your ISP
2) Your login details are incorrect

This has happened twice to me in the space of about a month after Telecom made some changes to my line setup and in the process, upset the tunnel to my ISP. It was necessary to log a fault report with my ISP who then arranged for Telecom to fix it -- within about an hour the last time, so that was pretty good service from Telecom I thought

If your WAN address is currently all zeros, this is probably what has happened to you.
