Hoping I can get some help here. I am looking at wanting to connect my Surface Pro to a monitor with a DVI port.

Clearly I could just get the offical Surface VGA adapter however I would like to use to sometimes connect to a TV so wanted to know if anybody was doing something like this.... Mini-Display to HDMI via adapter and then HDMI to DVI via a cable like this http://www.dicksmith.co.nz/tv-video-cables/dse-hdmi-to-dvi-d-cable-1-5m-dsnz-xh9595 would this still work?
