Just to add, from experience i've found reception quality a big issue with bunny ears, perhaps consider hooking up to the roof antenna :)

Do you need any software or does this come with the TV card??

if you have xp media centre edition or vista you in theory dont need additional software, however most cards come with software in a cd or downloadable. hauppauge is a good brand (well the only brand i'm familiar with).

At the risk of conflict with the geek inside me... but use the right tools for the job. IMO, use a tv to watch tv (despite my media centre and 5 computers at home)
