Is it just me, or is Google's search within NZ function broken? NZ search results are identical to standard results.

Noticed that this afternoon as well.  Filtering NZ results got me tomshardware.com which is definitely not local (as an example of the multiple entries that were obviously international).

I wish they had never removed the old radio buttons for this. I usually just chuck a site:.co.nz in now.

Nope, when I add "site:nz" into my query it returns NZ results only. Not sure if you were doing it that way or another, I don't know any way to do it.

Hmmm...  re-ran the same search as earlier this afternooin and the results are now showing correctly.

timmmay - click 'search tools' near the top under the search box when you see results.

I've been experiencing this issue for about 1 week now. I too use the search tools method. Just tried again now. Not one site returned on first results page was a NZ site.

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.

Not when the site doesn't load it isn't.

And based on the Google summary for this site it is one I would personally avoid.

Check whether the address shows Google.co.nz not google.com, .com does not have the country restrict option.

Site loads fine on our PC and laptops.

Where did you find the "Google summary"?

For sure, this is on google.co.nz. The option isn't missing, it just hasn't been working so well. Select restrict to NZ, but NZ sites aren't dominating the results (or even there at all) as expected.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

I have been having this issue too. The other day they actually removed the country filter altogether from the search tools menu, but I see it has now returned. site:nz has always worked, but is a pain.

If it's not working just use site:nz. I never even know about the search tools.
