Hi this will make me look like a wannabe geek but gotta ask the questions -
1) been looking up on cpu-z and it says my ram speed is 352MHz - but i was supposed to have bought a 533MHz ram (was a Dell Dimension E521 - does not mention the FSB on the receipt, but i presume can be calculated from the cpu-z data?

- did i get cheated or i am missing something? (i am sure it's the latter eg if the FSB is 800MHz then it would be about right ... right?)

Apparently, the FSB is the core clock speed divided by the multiplier.
In your case FSB = 2465.3/11 = 224MHz which is unusually slow in my opinion. (Ie. your BUS speed)

Now as for the RAM, I'm not sure about this but it shows your running dual channel, ie. Supposedly 2x 533MHz RAM sticks? In which case its more about bandwidth (bits/sec) than speed.
But I don't know how you can calculate the individual RAM speed unless you take out one stick and run CPU-z again, too see if it reads the timing freq ~533MHz.

I can not think of any reason why running in dual chanel mode as opposed to sigle chanel would affect the bus speed for his ram secondly his CPU actual MHz speed is wrong for this cpu it should read 2200MHZ not 2400Mhz unless its been overclocked

so now we have that out of the way it's time to check the bios settings you'll need to find where the ram setings are and change anything set to auto by spd to the actual speed of your ram but do not change the timings (ie: 5-5-5-15) leave those alone as changing these can cuase your system to not boot if set to fast
