I've messed up my u torrent settings
I installed a 256ssd in February this year, and I did away with my DVD and fitted a HDD caddy to house my original 1TB HDD.
I thought I'd set up my download folder on the D: slave drive, but alas I had not and the 256ssd is now full so I have tried to change my download location and now its not re seeding as it can't find the files have had a look but still can't figure it.
Is there any tutorials on how to do it may be you tube?

Been a while since I used utorrent, and its always been an old one since they made it suck so much with all the bloat they added, but once you have moved things where you want them just right click the torrent in the download list and choose change location and direct it to the new location and then right click and force recheck has always done it for me. Not the sort of thing worth making a video on really.

utorrent stores its settings

C:\Users\YOURLOGINNAME\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent

I backup with symantec system recovery which replaced nortons ghost thing

same thing renamed .. so can restore settings if have a dup of that folder

normally the download you chose when add utorrent

but you can move files sharing to the new drive like D:

and on the torrent file right click advance.. set download location

and browse to root of D:\

and OK.. done.

if it dont recheck torrent.. right click and select recheck HASH (force RE-check)

and it will turn from red or whatever back to green for seeding.

depending on theme or custom icons or colours you may of set up.

if it dont find chunnks you set the download to wrong place or folder..

so if its like D:\spacebugs v2

you set location to D:\

and the torrent has a sub folder call spacebugs

most make mistake going in to far and so it thinks D:\spacebugs v2\spacebugs v2

and in that are the files of the sub folder.

also i leave ticked in IU settings under adding torrent the change name and location of the torrent data

then you can browse to where want it downloaded to.. and it will five a pop down to see prev locations

next time or select the same location by default.. also can untick files in the torrent dont want to download

like nfo files

NOTE always best to have a NTFS partition for very long names and folders.. and also download to root of it

else you run into windows bug (or feature they say) where cant move or delete files if they use long names

UT seems to not check the length of path+filenames

and so most download to C:\my downloads and its too long
