Anyone had an iMac motherboard repaired ?

I have a 2017 iMac 18,3 with what appears to be a faulty interface chip.  Replacement motherboards are not available so I am contemplating trying to get the motherboard / chip repaired.  Are there any companies doing that kind of work in the Wellington region ?

Issue is will they do board repairs rather than board replacement.  I will give them a call.

That shouldn't be the case. No 2017 Macs are on the vintage or obsolete lists, so Apple should have a supply of replacements available.
