Hi y'all. I'm looking for a monitor mount that actually screws to the desk, not clamps. I've been looking be all of them seem to clamp. It's for a single monitor, it needs to pull out and be able to turn as to not have to turn the whole "desk" (not really a desk more a mobile pc station with space for the monitor on top. I use the keyboard and mouse on a lap table. I hope that helps. Thank you all on advance.

I'm not sure I completely understand the question.  You want to screw your monitor stand to the desk but you want to be able to turn it around as well?  Could you give some more detail of what you're trying to achieve.  Also what is the desk made of?

I picked up one of these a while ago, good unit, has option of through-hole or clamp: https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MOALCK0055/Loctek-Pro-Mount-17-30-Single-Gas-Spring-Monitor-S

In order to get the right answer, one must ask the right question

Every monitor arm I've ever purchased has included the option to either clamp it to the edge of the desk, or screw to the desk (requiring a 10mm hole to be drilled through the desk).

That's exactly what I need. I've never looked at them before but when I started saw the problem. Now my husband will just have to make sure there's enough clearance between the top of the pc and the through mount. As I'm on the couch or recliner and moving the while unit every time I want to use it, even with wheels, isn't ideal this is a great option for me. Thank you.

After having setup quite a few different monitor arms, the below Brateck one is my preferred option, has a bigger height range than the Locktek one above (and I think has a longer reach as well):

Buy the Brateck LDT48-C012 17"-32" Pole-Mounted Gas Spring Single Monitor Desk... ( LDT48-C012 ) online - PBTech.co.nz

It's a little more expensive, but well worth the extra in my opinion.

EDIT: If you're attaching any arm like this to a small moveable unit there could be a risk of it tipping over if you extend the monitor arm out too far.
