Hey im looking to get a computer microphone or some sort either just a straight desktop microphone or one that is with a headset. BUT the cheapest and best bang for buck out of the two is which i want. The highest proiety is the microphone - to be very clear and noise cancelling.

Im thinking of getting some Z-2300 in the furture so a headset would be pointless? There for a desktop microphone? Help me decide

My budget is around $20

ive seen these two desktop microphones

http://www.dse.co.nz/dse.shop/4a6933580095371e273fc0a87f3b068a/Product/View/XH8235

Is there any others that are good? If not out of the two which is better?
Personal experiences?

Another question - Would a $50 headset have better sound quality in the speakers then apple ipod ones? Or will all headsets be the same?

A lot of gamers use the Zalman mic that clips on to your headphone cable:

Sound quality is good for the price, probably much better than those two you linked I would imagine.

I've gone for some logitech 250, with are USB - easy as there's only one plug, it has an onboard sound card and is an all in one unit (headphones and microphone)  Light weight and so far I've not had any issues with them.

My budget is around $20

:-(  Price spy puts these at more than your budget, however.

When linking back to the DSE website, don't forget to use the "Link to this" button in the top right of the page - this will produce a ink that oyu can send to people without including your session information - the link should look more like this:

Well ... my personal preference is listed above ... and I'm not wading into the sound quality issues ;-)

HTH.
